Backup problem on vista ultimate

I am trying to back up my pc for the first time, getting error message:-

"backup could not start due to an internal error"
class not registered (0x80040154)

running vista ultimate x64

can anybody advise

From here, it seems you have to reinstall Microsoft Office/Outlook, if you have it installed. Do you?

I have microsoft office 2007 installed but i dont use outlook, i run microsoft mail ver6. thanks

You should probably reinstall those programs.
