Vista latency problem?

I have had a problem with audio skips for a long while now, but this does not seem to be a audio-alone problem.

I have tested DPC latency with the DPC latency checker from thesycon.de, and find that every 10 minutes after booting, I get a latency of 140000+ micro seconds. on idle, it's running on 10-50 microseconds. When surfing or using other programs, its varying between 40-200 microseconds.

These are all fine values I guess, except for the extreme peak every 10 minutes.
This makes me think there i a scedueld taks messing things up, but I have a hard time identifying which process is causing this peak (there does not seem to be a match in the sceduler showing history events, mathing the time of the peak).

I get the same kind of peak when I manually scan for hardware changes.

Since it is on such a regular basis and a whole 10 minutes between every occation, I dont think it is a hardware failure either?

Any suggestions on how to find the cause of the problem (or at least identify the process causing it)?

All the newest drivers, chipset (from Intel) and bios should be installed in the system
