I recently have updated programs and have been cleaning my registry with RegistryEasy. Suddenly the taskbar changed and the theme isn't vista-like anymore. Please help me!!!!!
I have attached a picture of the bits...

Set back to a previous restore point and get rid of the Registry Easy. That's your problem.

In the left pane of the "Backup and Restore Center" you find "Repair Windows using System Restore". That's it. Choose a restore point from before you were using that registry program.

I would like to add, even if this looks resolved, that if you ever do changes to the registry, to do a backup of the keys you change before you do any change.

Also, cleaning the registry isn't something you do except for troubleshooting. The myth that says that cleaning the registry speeds up the computer has been debunked (see here). I would personnally never use another program than CCleaner to clean the registry, but I did not need to do any troubleshooting since installing Vista on my computer.

Thanks for the advice...I have managaed to restore vista to its former glory and will never touch the registry again as it didn't speed up the computer anyway...thanks again.
