I performered the Windows 7 upgrade with the kit supplied by HP. What a bear but I finally have everything up and running including all the upgrades. My problem is I can not get te computer to go to sleep. I'm certain I have screwed up the setting:cry:

High performance Turn off HD after 15 min
Sleep After 20 min
Allow hybrid off
hibernate off
Allow wake timers Disable
Power Button and lid
Power Buttom Action Setting Sleep
Sleep button action sleep
Display turn Display Off after 15 minutes
Multimedia setting
When Sharing data Allow the computer to sleep

I'm certain I have made a boo boo because I followed the direction in the Vista forum and it worked fine in vista 64. I have added all the other tips I've found in the Windows 7 tutorials and they work fine now that I've upgraded to windows 7. So it has to me my mistake using the tutorial tip regard power management in this forum. BWT I really want to thank you guys for all the the help you provide. As bad as this upgrade was and it was BAD thanks to HP, I managed to get it done in a little over 4 hours some people are still at. It's clear I was able to get it done because of all the info you guys provide

Did you mess with any settings in your BIOS? I do not know what BIOS you have, but I know I have a setting that if changed, prevents the computer from sleeping. Suspend to RAM it is called in the AMI CMOS.
