Solved Windows Theme Service

Hey, I know I'm new here and all, but I was wondering if someone could help me.
I had Vista and loved the look, and I heard VistaOSX was even better, so I got it and did the transformation pack.
It was ok but I liked the look of Vista better so I tried switching the theme back, it worked. But then I shut down my computer for the night and when I turned it on the next day, I had the Windows BASIC theme .
I tried going to "Task Manager", ran it as an administrator then went to "Services" then scrolled down to themes and it was stopped. I turn it back on and it told me to restart my computer, I did and when I turned it back on, it didn't work, I kept getting:
"Could not find file C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\aero.theme Because The Theme Service Is Not Running." Or Something Like That.
Now for some reason, I am not getting that message. It changes the background of my computer to the Vista background but nothing else.

Use system restore to take your pc back when it worked. And don't bother with themes. They break too many things occasionally.

I don't have a system restore point beyond the beginning of last month, I have been having this problem for several months now

Hello Rance, and welcome to Vista Forums.

You might also double check in Services to make sure that the Themes service is set to Start and Automatic.

Hope this helps,
Shawn

Hello Rance, and welcome to Vista Forums.
Thanks, and I'll restart my computer to see if it worked.
Edit: THANK YOU. I now have the nice look of Vista back
