Build 19 error. I am getting an error message "Build 19 has stopped working". Does anyone know what this error is and how to resolve it?
I have a language program that I purchased and when I try to "Print" a group of lists or flash cards with this program, I am getting this message in a box that says "Microsoft Windows" in the upper left blue area with this message in the white boxed area. It goes on to say "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the programand notify you if a solution is available."
But Windows is not notifying me of any solution. And I can't print and it then closes the program. I contacted company and they recommended I uninstall and reinstall the program which I did and the same issue continues to occur.
I have Windows Vista Home Basic so I wonder if there is something in Windows Vista causing this and where can I find a fix.
If you can print normally, that rules out any printer driver problems.
That Build 19 error does tend to point towards the Language App being the sole problem.
Whilst waiting for the support staff, you could check your Event Viewer logs to see if it consistently points to a particular file or driver being the cause.
(Start Orb > type Event Viewer and then check Custom Views > Administrative Events)
I found several faulting applications (~12 related to the language program I purchased. I can send these to the supplier for further investigation. The information says basically that the program stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem, check the problem history in the Problem Reports and Solutions control panel. I found about twelve Build 19 issues in the problem reports but no solutions. I will be sending these to the program supplier.
But after seeing all these "errors & warnings" for the whole year in the list, my curiosity has been stirred up. What on earth is causing all this mess? There are over 150 listed and now I wonder why so many problems and issues. Surely this should not be happening constantly as I am seeing it happen. So how do you stop all these errors from occurring???? This is pretty interesting yet at the same time annoying.
Depending on the error itself, sometimes they can be considered 'harmless' for lack of a better description and other times they can point to a more serious issue.
Unless they are causing an issue (lang app excluded) they can be ignored to a certain degree.
Fingers crossed the suppliers can help you out with this issue.
