I'm looking to update my Windows Vista Ultimate (64 bit version) to Windows 7. I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which Windows 7 works best for me. It would be a no brainer to just update to Windows 7 Ultimate but it is about $300.00. Since I am a student I can get Windows 7 home premium and Windows 7 professional for 84% off at $39.99 for either of them. I'm really frustrated with Vista so I want to update to 7 but would like to keep some grocery money lol.
My question is if anyone can give me some advice on which version would work best for what I need and if I can get the cheaper versions of Windows 7 and still meet my needs.
I use my computer for photo-editing and photo manipulation so I use Adobe Photoshop a lot. I also use video-editing programs like Adobe Premiere Pro and other programs included in the Adobe Creative Suite. I also would like to start using a Maya 3D software and possibly Autodesk in the future. I use my computer to watch movies, play music, write essays, surf the web, and some PC games as well.
