TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Windows XP with SP2 & Vista. For XP, Start, Run, CMD to open a command prompt. For Vista, Start, Programs\Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt. Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog Reset TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ip reset reset.log Reboot the machine. |

| vista home premium | Re: cannot communicate with dns server yes everythis was find b4.......the internet went down for few minutes then i couln t go online anymore always say cannot communicate with dns server I reboot the modem and the ratuer few times still the same MY friends that are here with me they have no problem they all online with them laptop |
