Unable to install windows vista 32bit

Hello there, I took my friends pc as he said it wasn't working, so after finding the hard drive curropt I tried a fresh install of windows.

First of all I completely formatted the drive using my current computer so the drive was empty.

I placed the drive back into the original computer Acer ASPIRE M3641 upon installation it asks me for Nvidia cd/dvd drives, so I made a disk containing them and then tried installing again. It asks me for the drivers and for me to put the disk in the computer, I do this but the installation doesn't scan the new disk, so I can't actually choose the drivers...

So I thought ok I would put the drivers into the disk image and try installing that way. No same problem, it's almost as if the "browse" screen on the installation is already programmed in.... It doesn't make any sense.

It comes up with 4 removable drives and a drive called "boot" (this is not the disks name... or the drives name..) I have tried 3 installation cds and it's all the same... I have tried installing Windows XP but I just got a blue screen...

Is there a hidden ACER file on this hdd stopping me or something?

Aspire m3641 , No windows won't install without these drivers, yet they are on the disk, and when I even try a new disk drive, the installer doesn't notice it...
