Need to know something about OEMs and factory builds

i bought a compaq with no Vista disk to come with it i was wondering is there a way to dl a disk make it a ISO and put in a key again?? Its a Windows vista home premium OEMact HP can i just use a regular home premium disk? or do i need to find a OEMact for HP, if i havft to find a disk somewhere does someone have a torrent for link to download one?

You can a) burn your own disks from the recovery partition (type REC into the start/search field and go to "Recovery disk creation" - that is the wizard that will guide you) - have 3 DVDs handy, or b) call HP who will usually send a disk for a S&H charge ($20 I last did that). If you tell them that burning from the recovery partition did not work, they may even send you a free one. There are no download options for that.

Well my OS messed up and i didnt no much at the time, so i put windows vista ultimate do you think the old OS will still be there in the partition?

Hard to tell from here. It depends what you really did. Why don`t you just try as I said and type REC into the start/search. If something is there, the wizard will come up. You can also have a look on D: and see what is there. If you are not sure, take a snip and post it here.
