How to boot Vista faster?

I have Vista Home Premium on Core 2 Duo 2.26GHZ. Also i have 4GB ram.

How can I make my Vista boot faster?

I followed all the tutorials in this site, but didnt help much.

I did:

Msconfig tweaks (extra services/programs disabled on startup)
Disk Defragment

My boot time is 89 seconds.

How can I make it faster?

Hi Awaisuk, if you have followed all the tuts. you could try this i know i use it when i do a lot of uninstalling and our member stew 2 put together a really handy utilities pack of shortcuts for command lines. download his "utilities zip" in Step 4 and unpack it to your desktop. Then go to Step 15 and follow it to the letter (when you run defrag boot files do not close the command box it will dissappear when finished.)

What anti-virus are you using? What programs are at start-up? My laptop has worse stats then your machine and rebooted in less or equal time in Vista. There is something starting up thats slowing it down.

No antivirus...nothing special in laptop installed...

I have up to date windows updates and also installed service pack 2 today which also did no effect in boot time

Then i doubt your going to get much more with those specs to be honest. I was getting that and I have intel 2.0ghz nothing to worry about here.
