Please someone help me! I am trying to burn a movie maker project using windows dvd maker. I can watch a preview beautifully using movie maker. When I try to burn, it gets to about 58% encoding and then fails! Hours and hours invested in this project. Any suggestions? :confused:

What format is the file?
How big is it compared to the media your trying to burn it too?

Good point above me, I forgot about that. Are you saving this file as a DVD then burning it, or are you just burning a raw project?

i am just trying to burn it from movie maker. i am a bit computer illerterate. i have done many projects before not this long, and never had any problems. this is a 39 minute dvd project with video clips and still images.

thats my problem. it doesn't finish. I have tried to burn it 4 or 5 times. sometimes it tells me unable to complete operation, other times it just stays on the encoding phase.

Next question is are you doing them same thing to burn them each time? In the File menu there should be an option to save it as a DVD. Click that then use the DVD maker to burn it. I'm guessing you made the video in Movie Maker?

To finalize a windows movie maker movie all you have to do is go to the finish movie selection and press save to my computer if you want it on your computer and it will allow you to save the file to wherever you want
