    Rep points

Hey guys, I was wondering how people get rep points. Is it determined by how much rep you give other people as well as advice.
I just saw a guy with 7 rep points and he had only 2 posts (him asking about a problem he has and responding to it, I dont understand how that is possible or how the rep system works properly - i have read the reputation system in FAQ and it says it is determined by the admin) even if a moderator could explain the system to me in more detail would be greatly appreciated

Simple... you just click on the reputation button in the post to increase anyone's rep (except your own). It looks like this:

Now, maybe you'll click on mine and add to my rep?

    Hi and welcome

when ppl give you rep your points go up. rep power is what you give. Its all explained here Reputation and Badges - Page 9 - Windows 7 Forums

Reputation is earned from ther ppl for help above and beyond. It accumulates. Rep power is accumulated for the number of days registered, how many posts, and many other things. there are more detailed information in the link. Yours will grow. the more you help the more they help you
