Toolbar Shortcut Links

Everytime I delete a shortcut button on my toolbar, a new one is automatically put on. How do I get the toolbar to only display the shortcuts I want without adding new ones. This is very frustrating!!! Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

what toolbar are you talking about is that under INTERNET Explorer or just your below taskbar??
