Vista Burn Error

iv been having a burn issue for some time.. ever once in a while i can finish a full audio cd. other times i cant. burns one maybe even 4 songs out of 12. WMP 11 says

Burner is busy .. & stops burning the ablum... im calling this issue a fake burning.

i can burn other stuff just fine. even live dvds that i use as storage..
i have no upper or lower filters even after doing a full reformat of my drive...

HL-DT-ST - GWA-4165B <----> TSSTcorp SH-S202N

-- steps i have tryed are as following --

uninstall & reinstall drives from device manager

upgrade firmware for one drive the TSST but cant find the firmware for the other

i checked the jumper settings & have made the top drive ( new drive ) the master & the old drive the slave..

have even changed the data cable but to no luck

im also having my pc freezing at ramdom times as well.. im thinking the cause of it might be one of the following.. the following below i found in the event viewer.

See if it burns with real time protection disabled. If it still doesn't work then at least you likely eliminated the real time shield as the issue.

heres the error i get when it burn fails..

Windows Media Player cannot burn the files. If the burner is busy, wait for the current task to finish. If necessary, verify that the burner is connected properly and that you have installed the latest device driver.

im not sure what to do.. i would like to have upper & lower filters in my reg.. but cant seem to find them to download.

i have not tryed the abo^e as im not sure where to go.
