When I'm doing a simple task, like updating Adobe Reader 9.0 to version 9.2.0 my Vista x64 hangs while saying validating install. The system becomes unresponsive and task manager won't show up. Also, when I use Mozilla Thunderbird for a small period the OS becomes unresponsive and I have to power down my computer and restart it again.
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU 2.83 GHz
6 GB Ram
One disk with 2 partitions of about 300 GB each.
Any sugestion to make the OS work/not hang or recover without shutting down?
