Vista 64-bit "Recently Changed" within pictures

Has anyone opened their documents or pictures and then clicked on "Recently Changed"? If you haven't, please try it. It's up and the left side. Please tell me how many entries you have. I have 15,381. This concerns me.

I have Vista 64-bit and I opened my "Pictures" and happened to click on "Recently Changed". Wow, up popped over 15,000 items. Upon clicking on some of them, the majority seem to be pictures of cars, 1000's and 1000's of pictures of cars, also actors, sports people, etc. However, I also found stuff I could relate to, like my recipes and all of my music. I experimented by removing my "meatloaf" recipe, and it disappeared from my documents. Now I'm scared. Is it ok to have 1000's and 1000's of pictures of cars, actors, etc.? Where did they come from? I have never looked at cars on this:eek: computer. Should I and how would I get rid of these? Do I have to delete the car pictures one at a time? Please help! 10,000 or so of these have the same date. Maybe I did something bad to my computer that day! EEEEK!

Open either your "Documents", or "Pictures", in the upper left corner you can click on "Recently Changed". You will be shocked to see thousands of entries.

I have 15,381. How many do you have?

My advice to you is do not delete them. They delete your permanet files and that's all I know.

I don't know about you, but within "Recently Changed" I have at least 3,000 pictures of cars. I don't know how they got there or if I can or should get rid of them, but if you recognize something like one of your pictures, don't delete it because it will disapear from everything you thought you had.

Does anyone out there know what "Recently Changed" is? I could take some advise as to if I could delete a few thousand pictures of cars, or actors, singers........etc. I would appreciate response from anyone in this matter.

"What do you do with 15,000 entries on "Recently changed"? Why are they mostly pictures of stuff you have neve seen before?

I know that if you have inadvertently, or even on purpose, installed the MSN Toolbar, those images will be installed in Documents | More | Recently Changed.

If you want to remove them, and prevent their return, just remove MSN Toolbar using the Control Panel utility.
