mirroring an external hard drive

I have 2 1TB external hard drives, 1 where I keep my music,pics,game books and various/misc crap(my wife calls me a digital hoarder).The other one I use as a backup.

About every six weeks I format the backup and move the files over to it.But it usually takes about 2 days to move everything over.

So I'm wanting to know what software I would need to use to make a mirror of my main external so it would write onto both drives at the same time.
