    Shortcut to power settings

At night I like to turn off my notebook monitor by going to:

    Desktop/Personalize/Screen Saver/Change Power Settings/

Then I can just set it to turn off in 1 min..

Thats a lot of clicks, though..

I see in the address bar that the final location is "Control Panel/Power Options/Edit Plan Settings".. Is there a way to get a desktop shortcut directly to that location?

I tried highlighting the address and making a shortcut out of it, but it didn't work..

    Hello Matthew,

You can use this tutorial below to get close to this. It works in Vista as well, but you will not be able to pin the shortcut to the taskbar since you do not have Windows 7 though.

    Hope this helps,
