Lemme get something straight here...

Hello, so recently my friend bought a MACpro for about 8000 dollars. now, during this time i kept trying to cinvince that wasting that much money is soo useless that he could build a PC server for about half that much with the same performance.
NOW, according to my knowledge the MAC pro uses the same CPU a PC server would the "Nehalem Quad core server CPU" yes? so in no way is this an only product of mac and in no way is it "optimized" for mac only. however my friend would strongly dissagree. and he thinks mac for whatever thinks that its better on a MAC than PC.
my main argument was that it was a PC server with OSX installed on it. im pretty sure the other hardware might be more optimized but he only has 8 GB RAM and 3 HDD's in RAID 0 along with a 24 ich mac screen which cost another 900 dollars (i know right)
so all that equals 8000 nothing else changed.
i wanna know if my argument is correct or not.
im pretty sure this is not MAConly:
