Help with merging partitions.

Okay so I just reinstalled vista, and the installer apparently chose the partition on its own or I did and wasn't paying attention, but it installed vista on a 15gig partition, which left me with a random 70meg partition from some boot crap, and a 600gig partition.

The partition (C) with vista installed is now full and I am now unable to install or extract any zips/rars due to this, I tried using Acronis Disk Director Suite to merge the 15gig and 600gig partitions but it freezes and crashes everytime I try, and I'd rather not delete the 600gig partition and extend the C partition because then I lose my stuff and I have to screw with some settings of some programs.

Anything else I can try to merge the two partitions?

u can try other 3rd party software but unfortuanatly you cant otherwise (not that i know of ), but u could shrink the 600gig part. and extend the C: drive :)

I already tried doing that but it wont work because the empty space isn't directly on the right of the C partition

OH looks like you are going to have to try a 3rd part software or buy an external hard drive to back up your data :(

Already got the external, the problem is that I've been installing all my programs onto the F drive which is the 600gig partition. And I'm afraid that if I just delete the F drive and extend the C drive and then throw all the programs back onto the C drive that they wont work properly.
