My computer RAID set started reporting occasional errors messages. But system was working fine. So I started a new Full backup to a non-RAID hard drive. Full backup completed successfully. After that I also started a data backup. Since then computer started to fail time to time (Mainly at boot up). After a several days my computer failed during a data backup. Knowing that I had a complete backup from a few day ago , I decided restore my computer.
My Original setup was RAID 0 (2 x 500GB SATA Disks) for System partition and Data partition. And I had another Non-RAID 1TB disk for backups.
Backup locations were as follows;
H:/SONATA-II/Backup set 2009-12-14 ß Data backup location
H:/Windows backup/sonata-ii/backup 2009-12-09 ß Full Backup location
I am trying to do a full restore using a Vista boot disk. It finds the backup catalogue from data backup folder and when trying to restore but come up with an error.
Error: Complete restore failed.
Error details: Element not found.
Is there a way I can avoid the data backup and restore from complete backup from location specified above?
I know complete backup is good. I can open that backup with Winimage software and see all contents.
Your help will be greatly appreciated. :(
