ram upgrade not shown

hi i have just recieved a toshiba satalite pro, i have put a 1gb ram upgrade in but in control panel and bios it still only shows 1gb not 2gb i have swaped the original one with the new one in case it was faulty but it works fine does anybody have any ideas

hmm.......


install this app ''CPUZ'' then go to the ''memory'' tab, here it will state whats in your system... though if the BIOS wont recognize it this app will have no luck either..

have you got the exact make & model of your machine.?? :)

according to the specs its good for up to 4GB..?? :confused:

have you got the make & model of the RAM you installed..??, im guessing you already researched the sticks you needed for this machine before buying.??

have you run that app, did it detect 2048mb..??

Hi

skunksmash is looking make & model, not type.

Some makes & models will not work together.

i cant see a make and model as the sticker has come off, as it is good for 4gb i think i will just go and buy some on monday thanks for the help.
