Vista Error Undefined

I think this is the right place to squeal about vista


alright this is the problem :

I can not start any program on my desktop (all programs) and when I try to open it on start and search and run it as administrator an error ocurs can not find the specified path (0x000....) I don't remember the rest but you may figure it out that happened after I downloaded some PDF and Quicktime 3GPP clips I don't know exactly the problem but mozilla was crashed and takes longer to close than usual and before it happen I think windows try to prompt me the program did not run correctly at first I don't think its a big matters but later when I click any programs it did not run at all and when I try to get to control panel whenever I try to do system restore it continue prompt as I mentioned above and the most funny thing is when in certain program like system configuration it blink with colors red, green, yellow, pink or such weird color like that on the program window and the most strange thing is I also lost my administrator word under my name on logon screen I already try system restore with boot (F8) until I can get here now on the internet but please help why did this happen?? by the way when I try to scan with avast the scanner takes too long when try to scan my :c\ drive is it because of virus or something else please HELP! my spec is under the end of this question page(

If it is not a Virus which I suspect it may be then boot from your Vista disk and do a Vista Repair.

Thanks but I think everything is corrected because I did this :

1.Try System Restore on boot screen, the first choice came up on my mind
2.Download CCleaner and Malwarebytes in regular mode
3.Restart the computer after done System Restore back before the problem appear
4.Scan with CCleaner first because if I use Avast they would stop in the middle of scanning and if I try to close it wouldn't stop anyway I tried to end the program in Task Manager but no good
5.Run Malwarebytes to do quick scan on regular mode
6.Restart the computer and go to save mode with no network or LAN connection
7.Run CCleaner on safe mode and delete all temporary internet files after that finish
8.Run Malwarebytes still on safe mode but right now I choose perform full scan
9.That's it I know exactly what is the cause!

I rather choose try to fix the problem on the spot than reinstalling the system thats the last thing I would do but thanks anyway for the advice!

Glad you got it sorted, the repair option does not reinstall the whole system just the bits that are not working.

thanks anyway and please keep me in touch if anything happen because I don't think I am an expert but could you please give me any advice how to perform clean install because Im getting like Vista and I possibly think to buy upgrade to Vista Home Premium rather than try 7 because you know for safety I'd rather wait for market reaction about this Microsoft product first before deciding to use it maybe a couple years or so:D
