Solved Lost Filenames

Hi there, the flienames are no longer being displayed when I view the contents of C:\ drive as icons. I am aware of how to hide/show filenames for any folder other than system ones using the ctrl key and 'View' menu, however this does not work with C:\ drive. Any ideas how I can get the filenames back with the icon views for this folder?

Thanks Shawn. I have lost the 'Merge' entry on the context menu when I right-click on the unzipped *.reg file. Is there an easy way to get this entry back? Otherwise I shall have to do a manual reg edit.

I can't find anything that covers this topic in the 'Context Menu' tutorials.

In Default Programs, double check to make sure that the .reg file extension has it's "Current Default" program set as Registry Editor (C:\Windows\regedit.exe). You can also right click on the .reg file and click on Open With, then select Registry Editor. Afterwards, the merge option should be there.

Did manual edit of registry that has fixed the file name issue and also sorted the problem of merge on the context menu.
