System Volume info cant see size

I am new to Vista so I need some help .

I noticed a big discrepancy between C drive used space and the files I actually have on C drive ex programs, windows , users etc . Those files add up to approx 32.5G . whereas the C drive info indicated that I haves used up around 67G out of 400G . I assume the rest must be Restore points etc. However when I click on properties of the System Vol Info folder I see 0 Bytes. When I use the command VSSadmin I see that 34.5G out of 55G is used . Why can't I see the size of the System Volume Folder in Windows Explorer even though I am an administrator? Is there something I must do to give myself the appropriate privileges ?

I believe I should be able to view the size of the System Vol Info file because I can do so on my laptop which is also running Vista ?

Thanks

do you have "show hidden files and folders" enabled?

In explorer. click on "tools" > folder options > view tab. click the show hidden files and folders button...

hope thats what your looking for.

Yes , hidden files and folders already enabled . I can see the System Volume Info but in properties it says 0 bytes . Why is this? Should it not indicate 33.4G as indicated by the command "Vssadmin list shadowstorage" ?

But where is the problem (apart from the zero in properties). The files plus the shadowstorage add up to 67GB.
When I am on my Vista system, i will check what Properties say (I don't remember). In Win7 you get the "System" page.

Not a problem, just curious to know why the System Vol Info file size is shown as 0 bytes by clicking on file properties whereas clearly it is not.
