New Member
I recently got a laptop, Hp pavilion dv4, it happened to be a bad choice because of the amount of problems I have had with this damn thing. BUT besides that I was useing the touch pad the other day and dragged the "Desktop" folder to the menu on the left side so it duplicated. Since it has duplicated 4 times and there is no way I have found to delete it. Any help?

Are you still in your initial 21 day warranty period? (And the warranty period was most likely extended for the holidays!) I'm asking because I bought an HP dv5t around the 1st of last December, and was also having tremendous problems with it --- it never occurred to me to exchange it for another one, until in January, someone on this board suggested it --- and HP HAD extended the warranty period until mid-January, so not only did I have an extra couple of weeks in which I was able to exchange it, but my replacement dv5t has been close to perfect!!! So, hopefully, it's not too late for you to exchange yours too. And even if it is too late for an exchange, after 3 or more tech service calls for issues that can't be repaired, it is very likely that you will qualify for a replacement system as well. Have you looked into either of these options?
