HELP needed regarding deleted items. Can anyone solve this problem??.

I have deleted some pictures that were in my recycle bin they are 'PNG' images. however when i press 'start' and type the title of the pictures in 'start search' the titles of the pictures still come up. How do I remove them from the search / off my pc ?

When I right click on the titles of the pictures on 'start search' and click delete a box comes up saying " could not find this item. this is no longer located in C:/ ....
Verify ite item's location and try again." but trying again doesnt do anything.

    Main Machine. Just upgraded my RAM to 8GB. Next task will be to get a new processor for this machine ( 9650 was for my secondary machine )
You sometimes have to shut down the computer and re-boot before the changes 'take.' Have you tried to shut down and reboot? What happens then?
