Error loading C:\\Windows\SERVIC~2\LOCALS~1\ntload.dll

I was just run an antivirus scan and a Trojan file was found and so I removed it. Ever since then, an error message keeps popping up. It stated, “Error loading C:\\Windows\SERVIC~2\LOCALS~1\ntload.dll” and “The specified module could not be found.” Does anyone know how to fix this?

It seems like I have been spending most of my time trying to fix my laptop than using it lately.

I suggest doing a google search for "C:\\Windows\SERVIC~2\LOCALS~1\ntload.dll". It brings up many items. This is a virus. Probably an item in your registry is trying to start it even though your AV product found the file and removed it.

Hope this helps.

Ok, can you log in to your computer?
IF YES, then:
1. Click Start and type CMD (do not hit enter/click on it)
2. Right click CMD in the start menu and click "Run as Administrator"
3. When it loads, type: sfc /scannow
4. This should repair the file.

IF NO, then:
1. Boot from a Vista recovery disc such as this:
NEOSMART Files Recovery Disc
(Note that it's a torrent, instructions how to download on page)
2. Select your language and country and click next
3. In the bottom right hand corner, click "Repair My Computer"
4. Once it recognizes Vista, click next.
5. Click on Command Prompt
6. Type: sfc /scannow
7. System File Checker should repair your files. It MIGHT take a long time.

I actually did google search before I post the question. It’s just that some of them require that I download some sort of software, I’m kind of affair that it might be spam or something. Some of the solutions out there seemed to be for more serious problem than the one I’m having right now and it’s mostly for Window XP. I was hoping that there might be some other option people here might know of.
ComputerAge, I can log in to my computer. My computer appears to be normal except that error message keep showing up every time I turn on my computer. I did the scan from CMD but then I got the message saying “Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations”.

My Computer

That means the NTLOAD.DLL is not crucially damaged. The message is weird though.

BTW, if Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations, your system files are OK.

I did try to follow the path but the file isn’t there. I’ll try out the site that you recommended but I have a feeling that they will tell me to download/buy their software.

One more thing, I just realize that when I turn on my laptop under Safe mode, the error message didn't pop up...weird.

I submitted my problem to them already... Hope they'll respond to me soon....

I actually did run a scan under safe mode but nothing came up....Ever since, a trojan was found, I have been doing as less a quick scan almost every day.

My Computer

They told me to download their special free software RegRun Reanimator. Have anyone use this software before? If you did, what do you think of the software. I heard it is hard to uninstall.

My Computer

HI, I just got this same exact problem with my pc and I was wondering what you actually did to fix the problem. Did you scan your pc and found a trojan or something or did you change the startup settings? If you did change the startup settings, then please tell me what it's called because it's really hard for me to find. Thank you.
