No, it only effects the R.Hand panel of the Win Explorer, & not even the L.Hand side of it which all are so small to read. ........nick

My Computer

can you post a screenshot of what you are talking about?

try holding the ctrl key down, and use your scroll wheel...does that help?

I can do it in XP easy.

Regarding the "View" in your post # 3, there is none on the taskbar, but there is one in win explorer if this is what you asked to rclick on.

No this Vista home premium does not show view like yours.

How about now try to increase text/icon sizes on the L.Hand panel of my WINDOWS EXPLORER, in Vista where I have it in CLASSIC mode.

Am I confusing you worst? ........nick

My Computer

try this: right click on desktop when the window pops up , choose "adjust font size DPI" ( left hand side) click the larger see if this helps.
BTW I have vista home premium and even with classic view I still have the view large icon option!

Hi

Try going into control panel and picking personnalisation (sorry my Vista Premium is a french version) that would be personalise. On the left you should see an option to change the size of text and the font. Try clicking the lower of the two options or
select the option at the bottom for a personel size in text.
Haven't done it myself but...

Hope this works.

I tried it but there in nothing like that.

I tried to send you a foto but, "fsscreen" I use in XP did not work in Vista.

What do they use for print screen in Vista.

I also use "Microsoft Photo Editor" for croping fotos bu, cannot find it in Vista.

BTW your r.click on tasbar was by the Sart icon wich works on mine too, but does nothing to the icons on the right side of the bar.

My Computer

Thanks,
can not use sniping tool on the r.click on desktop, it disappears when I go to the tool, so found Screenshot utility.
The 1st is r.click on desktop & the 2nd r.click on left side of taskbar which enlarges the "e" not the icons on far right side (called quick launch?)

Nick, Microsoft Photo Editor has now become Microsoft Office Picture Manager -- it has a different UI, but the functions are almost the same, and it is TERRIFIC! You can find it in the Start Menu, Microsoft Office, Tools, Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

And PrintScreen in Vista often requires that you simultaneously press the fn key with the Prt Sc key. Then, just paste the image into Notepad, Wordpad, a blank Word page, or an imaging app, and Voila!

To change the text in the Taskbar, right-click Desktop to open Personalize, Window Color and Appearance.
Go to Advanced.
In the drop-down menu, select 3D Objects, and Text size. You can change the text size (and color) to the one you want. If that doesn't work, trying selecting Icon, and see if that changes the text in the Taskbar.
