I recently upgraded motherboard 780i sli - 790i sli + 4 g's of DDR3 dual chanell.
I've read that reactivation of windows vista is required after a hardware change..
Is this true, and if so does windows prompt you to reactivate when you start back up?

I have a velocity micro...can't rem who builds them Pentium I think.
32bit home premium ..vista of course
G-force 8800 GT
790i SLI FTW
4 G's DDR3 dual chanell 2x2 sticks
Intel Core 2 Quad

If the computer is not recognized by the OS, you have to reactivate. Very easy. You will notice that the official MS logo is no longer present on you page. Then you just call and activate by phone. If not sucessful an person will speak to you. JUst be honest and you will get activated. The reps are very understanding and do not want to lose good will. You will not have a problem. You have 30 days.
