my windows vista home premium will not log off.
I requested restart last night, but it is still displaying logging off with the circle going round on my screen.
I have tried cntl, alt, delete, but this does not work. I turned the power off, but when I switched back on it was still logging off. Next I removed the battery, but it is still logging off.
Please can someone help me?

Im sorry, I know how I would feel. Try this and lets hope. Turn off computer, as it begins to boot (if you even get that) hit f8. This will get you into safe mode. Then try to get into the last know good configuation. If it does not work get back and we can think together.

Using Last Known Good Configuration

Thank you very much for all your help.
I think I have fixed it. I pushed the media button, which is next to the power button. It would not let me exit from the media screen so I pushed the power button off. When I started it again it was back to normal.
Thank you so much for all your help, it is really nice to know that help is always at hand.
Kind regards,
Rose.
