Hi, I have a problem with my new computer and I was hoping someone here could help me. It worked for about a week but now Windows Vista won't start up, it just says start up failure when I turn the computer on, then runs an automatic program thats supposed to fix any problems, after that runs it says:

Windows cannot repair this computer automatically

Problem Details:

I'm hoping someone here will be able to tell what this all means and what the problem is being caused by, as if it's something like hardware failure or the preinstalled windows wastn't done correctly I'll be able to make a claim on my warrenty.

This is the PC I have:

ACER RANGER GAMING Desktop PC. Cheap ACER home and office computers from PC World.

Thankyou for all replies, I would have responded sooner but I've been having some problems with aol, and then I had to go out. I would quote each of you to respond but for some reason I can only see the replies to this thread when I'm posting my own response . I'll find somewhere else to ask about that - It's probably something to do with cookies, it always is :sarc:

Theog: Thankyou for taking the time to find/ post all the links to the tutorials, I'm going to print off information from them and have a go at getting my computer working tonight. I'm really grateful :D.
