    Can't Drag and Drop

I have an Acer Extensa 5430 Laptop running Windows Vista 32 bit. I cannot seem to drag and drop on this computer - it always copies the file and then I have to go back and delete the original. Is there a setting somewhere that I can change so that it's moving the file instead of copying?

First tell us how you try to drag and drop. What do you click etc?

Oh sorry! I usually left mouse click on the file name or icon and drag it to the file folder I want to drop it in to.

    Re: Can't Drag and Drop

If you read these posts, giving particular attention to good grief, I think you may solve your problem

Initially, I had to be sure that you were using the correct procedure to drag, and found out that you were.

    Hope this works

Hey Rich -- you said I should post in the right forum? Or "appropriate subject heading"? Where should I have posted? And I want to ask about my hard drive browser (wrong terminology I'm sure!) - where should I post that?

    Re: Can't Drag and Drop

You did fine with your post.

Because you said that you may have another question, and that now, I find out it is about the browser, I suggest you go to the "Browser and Mail Forum".

I will look for your question and if I can help I will. If I do not know the answer, many other very helpful members will be there for you.
