My hard drive on my laptop died and I took it back to Best Buy and they replaced it. I put in my Vista Reinstallation CD and reinstalled vista and put in the cd for drivers and utilities and installed them as well. I can't get any connection to the internet whatsoever, wirelessly or from plugging the ethernet cord in directly from the modem.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545. I have tried pressing the F2 key to turn the wireless on and off (because this worked before I recently reinstalled) and it doesn't even do anything now. I've tried plugging it in directly and picking up on the wifi in my house and I can't get a connection. How can I get my laptop back on the internet? Any help is greatly appreciated. I'll be refreshing all night! lol Thanks!

Here is a list of possible problems. It is impossible for me to give a definitive answer, there are so many causes. I cannot give you THE answer, but I can wish you good luck and I do.

Thanks for the response, I'll start looking over these and see if I can figure something out. If anybody else has any ideas please let me know! The only thing on my dekstop is the recycle bin and I literally haven't done anything yet!

You can begin by right clicking on the white flag by the clock and troubleshoot. If the flag is not there (its by choice) you can type troubleshoot in search and see what you can do.
