Module WINUTIL5.DLL error message

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Edition X64 bit OS, with a SP 2. Everytime I try to exit out of Windows Internet Explorer 8 I get the following error message:
MODULE: WINUTIL5.DLL
VERSION INFO
UNICODE: v (undefined): Win: 6.0.6002 (Service Pack 2): IE: 8.0.6001.18882.....

I have uninstalled IE 8 and re-installed it only to find the same error message!

IE 7 works fine without the above error message, as does Mozilla "Firefox". Do any of you have any ideas why IE 8 is giving me this error message? IE 8 has worked properly and only today it started the error message. Thanks for your help...

Its most likely cause by "Fake" anti malware/anti pop-up software. In my coworkers case is was PC Health . Remember if its a "free" Malware program DONT RUN IT. most of these install there own malware.. then ask you to pay to remove what they installed.

Check your "Control Panel: System Settings: Add/Remove Programs" Look for any "anti malware" or "anti pop-up" programs you dont remember downloading. or paying for. This should resolve the problem quickly.

Or just use your antivirus -
Navigate to

C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer

Rightc-click the internet explorer file and, depending on which anitivirus you use, there should be an option saying 'Scan folder' or something similar. See what results come up, if its not infected there might be some corrupt files for IE.
