hey guys, i customise my pc all the time and that's not a problem, I normally have a few OS's on my pc at any one time, which is fine, I know what to do, so that is no issue, but every now and again we all have a hiccup. This is mine.
When I first got my pc in late 2008 I initially installed windows xp, later on after upgrading ie SLI, 8GB of ram etc. I installed server2003 (dual-boot onto my other harddrive) and later formatted that and installed vista over the server 2003 installation.
So i had XP and Vista in a dual-boot configuration (where the MBR was on the XP HDD)
I then got a copy of windows 7 and wanted to install that. soI then backed everything up (by putting all my data on the Vista HDD) and formatted the XP drive, and installed 7.
Windows 7 is awesome, and I can access everything from the vista drive, but (and there always is a "but") because I formatted the XP drive, where the Master Boot Record was, I now cannot boot into vista.
How can I now boot back into vista guys? (without doing a clean install) - should I just do a repair on the OS with the installation disc, or is there more to it? Has anyone experienced this problem before, and how did they resolve it?
