Can't delete files on desktop

Once again I need a little help :o

I have files on desktop but I cannot delete it :cry:

Can anyone tell me how I can delete these from my desktop?

What did you do when they were first seen?

Depending on your answer there are a number of solutions. We can use system restore, we can hide them etc. It may be a virus.

They are easy to get rid of, just tell us a bit more, please

Just check in Task Manager (Processes), that they are not still being used by something/anything.

Go in to WMP and/or WMC, and check that it is not listed in the play list, or that it is not associated with them in any way, if it is, delete from there.
Also, run a search on the file/icon, and see if it shows up anywhere else. (include hidden files).

I searched at all the video drivers, but I did not find the files in the lists

What I do now ??

I want to delete the files by any way :cry:

Right click on the files>properties>security>give your self permission Then in the advanced section take ownership.. You should be able to delete at that point.
After your delete, right click on the desktop and hit refresh.

If that does not work hit the keys alt cntrl delete at the same time. You will get the task manager. Go to process tab. If you see any of the programs associated with those icons, stop the process from running. Then follow the above instructions, again.

Make sure you have permissions to delete the file. Taking ownership of the file is the first step, but without the required permissions, you still cannot delete the files.

Follow the instructions here: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67717-take-ownership-file.html (the same link as posted above!) and follow Method 2, The Manual Way. This will ensure you have full permissions, not just ownership of the files. In Method 2, you can use either Option 1 or 2, whichever you are most comfortable with.
