Hi I recently ran memory diagonistic tool and also timing
a boot time with .vbs file and after this
my computer booting speed became fast, but now when I try to
play online game explorer stopped working message is keep popping up
and I had this problem when I first got my laptop.
I researched and adds-on might cause this problem.
But I'm not sure what casue this problem right now.
Also I dowloaded microsoft word viewer casue I needed it wuickly.
So after I downloaded the viewer I had 6 windows updates that are
related to this program. Do u guys think this caused the problem?

I checked some tips how to speed up my laptop's performance
I saw "how to Enable or Disable the Receive Window Auto Tuning Level in Vista"
and I saw that the auto tuning was highly restricted (see the attachment). Does this prevent the internet go slow? cause i'm having problems where I can't load some videos fast.

plz help guys.

If the problem happened immediately after the word viewer, I would say that there is chance that is the problem.

To find out, you can make a system restore point, now. Then go back to the point prior to the installation. If things work its the viewer.

When you get the results of the system restore, we can discuss this further. We will know more and will be able to give you more help.

Thank you Richard for replying.

well I don't think word viewer was the problem...
I think the memory diagonistic tool did something
cause the explorer stopped working message appeared
after I ran the tool..
is it possible that the auto tuning can cause this problem too?
I heard it restricts bytes... I am not certainly sure about this...

also flash player keeps turned down.... I don't know why...

I can only go by what you are telling me. If it were my computer, I would look into a possible problem with Flash. I do not think that it was the memory diagnostic test, which is rather benign.

Just a short while ago, another problem with flash. Read this.

Flash causes my browser to not respond - Windows 7 Forums

While you are chekcing into flash, I will look into the memory diagnostic problem.
Possibly, there has been a similar situation reported at the Forum.

Why not try another Browser, FireFox would be good for testing purposes.

You did not provide the attachment for the auto tuning, as stated in your post.

Lets, also try a clean boot. To try to isolate the problem.

With the clean boot test, we should be able to determine the cause of the problem

The problem is tied into something that you did. A quick solution would be to go back to that time with system restore. Then if you still want to make changes, I would do one at a time, and be sure that it does not cause problems.

Thank you Richard for the help
I have read the windows 7 flash problem and
I will try the clean boot :D
It seems that the explorer stopped working message
doesn't appear frequently, but sometimes it does...
I unistalled flash player and re-downloaded the flash palyer
and it seems that it helped a bit :D
If I still have the same problem badly I will post again.. :D
and if you know anything about the auto tuning level
plz help. If it prevents smooth game play I want to fix it :D

thank you for the help again.
