Vista's Disk Management Partition Utility

First off I would like to say that this is a very useful tool.

I have just spent all day, literally, formatting and partitioning my 500gb SeaGate Free Agent. As of now, it is 32gb FAT32, and the rest is NTFS.

My question is, can I use the Extend/Shrink Volume tools to decrease the maximum capacity of the NTFS format and therefore increase the maximum capacity of the FAT32 format, as I need more than 32gb.

If not, how can I achieve this on Vista? I have been googling and searching for the past several hours and have not found anything useful at all.

I spent many many hours yesterday formatting and convertingmy hdd, so I don't want to try anything unless it is guaranteed to work as I have other commitments. After I made this post I read some where that this method will not actually work for increasing the partition of FAT32.

Everywhere I go someone will name some kind of third party program, with no details what so ever. I try them of course and they do not work. Either incompatible with Vista, no longer in development, or simply fail to compute.

All I am looking to do is increase the FAT32 partition so I can use more than 32gb. It can't be that hard can it?

PS It worked in vista !
