Just recently, I have been unable to open .png files. The default program for opening the file type has been unchanged (Windows Photo Gallery). Can anyone tell me the problem?

After trying again, it appears as though this only happens with .png files on my desktop.

Hello Spice,

You can use the PNG download at the link above to restore all of it's default associations. Afterwards it should be able to open into Windows Photo Gallery.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
