So my computer right now has a 0x000000F4 BSOD error, and ive been trying to get it to system restore back to an earlier time. (ran chkdsk and mem test so don't think's its a hardware problem)

The problem is that when i use the recovery Vista cd i made (Vista came installed), system restore always get stuck at Finalizing Files Restore.

Please.. I've searched all over but i can't seem to find a way to just get system restore to work

Hello Scylarr,
Can you post your full system specs, and any other information you may think is useful.
If you have anything overclocked, set it back to default.
List any Hardware/Software changes made recently.

This is the bug check for your BSOD, not much to go on here, so your dump file may hold more information.

STOP 0x000000F4: CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION

One of the many processes or threads crucial to system operation has unexpectedly exited or been terminated.
As a result, the system can no longer function.
Specific causes are many, and often best resolved by a careful history of the problem and the circumstances of the error message.

Go to C > Windows > Minidump files > zip them up and upload them with your next post, you may need to save them to your desktop first.

These types of blue screens are one of the worst, it could be a whole list of things, hopefully the dump file will tell us more.

Well whenever i try to boot normally or in safe mode the error comes up.

ran chkdsk through recovery disk and didnt notice anything wrong..
tried startup repair, and system restore gets stuck on the final stage

don't know how to look at the dump file through command prompt on recovery disk
