I recently recovered my computer back to factory settings but I backed up my programs and personal files through the option given on the recovery screen. Since I don't have a second hard drive or flash drive it back my files up on 3 DVD-r's. How do I restore these files on vista? I've ran the disk and they created a file "shortcut to system recover" so how to I retire the imfomation in this file?

It depends on what type of backup this is, a system image backup or user file backups.
