Issch.exe -start

I am not computer savy. In an attempt to speed up my computers boot up time I eliminated some of the programs in windows defender. I think I was confusing boot time with the time it takes for windows to load. I now get a mesage 'user account control'

Issch.exe -start
Installshield Update Service Scheduler

Permission Account

...or something like that. I think I know what the program is and what it's requesting but how do I 'reinstall it' into windows defender so that it knows to load? Also, are any of the programs in windows dock truly necessary or can I simply access them from programs?

Anyone who can help a non literate the 'help' would be appreciated.

I would have attached dxdiag dump but don't know how. I am old. My system is Dell XPS 625 AMD Phenom 9850 Quad-Core Processor 2.5GH, 4 Gig RAM.

Thanks.

Hallo Allmyne, you could either do a system restore to a time before you made the changes, if you click on this link it will show you how;

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html

Or you could use this tutorial using option two / method one, if you completely removed the program from Defender then use method two;

http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/79612-startup-programs-enable-disable.html

Once you have things sorted you may find this tutorial we be of interest;

Hope this is of some help :D
