Intel Dual Core Overclocking

I`ve seen a video in Youtube where the user overclocks his E2220 (that is my CPU model) from 2.4Ghz to 3.16Ghz. I got a question: after overclocking will I need a new cooling fan????

Hello AlOnan,
If you can OC your CPU to anything near that, then you will have to change the stock cooling to something a bit more efficient.
Was the CPU in the video on air or liquid cooling ?.

To keep an eye on your temps, download SpeedFan.

Download SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer

Hope this helps, good luck and post your results.

Thanks. But but I use Everest for monitoring CPU temperatures. I think it was with liquid cooling!

Either way, you will need to get rid of the stock cooling, go for better, rather than cheaper, a lot depends on this one piece of kit.

Good luck with the OC, let me know how it goes.

Ill give u some heat sink advice buy a good one, you need one that's solid copper or water cooled for major overclocking.

these are some good ones
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series CWCH50-1 120mm High Performance CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks
Newegg.com - ZALMAN CNPS9900ALED 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise Blue LED CPU Cooler - CPU Fans & Heatsinks

these should keep it nice and cool i perfer the corsair

this is what i have i was short on cash but i had a stock heat sink that was making my E8500 3.16 at 60-75C on Aion. but with this now its at 45-60C cheap and affective

Stock cooler fan?

The stock cooler fan 'ramps up' when under load.

1050RPM sounds like idle load speed.
