vista account user name and the about windows...

heya all...

i was wondering, since vista and win 7 is using now the c:\users\ for the documents folder, i've noticed that the name of the user from c:\users\username, has the same name from about windows when you click help, and about windows...

for example, c:\users\user, and then theres this help > about windows, just example the product is under licensed the same name is shown, which is 'user' as well.... do you guys have it the same... or do you guys have it different?

If you want an even better surprise, if you installed Windows and registered other apps using your real name in the registration dialogs, use one of those Registry search tools and search on it. You'll probably find your name in a dozen places in the Registry.

I did a search & replace and changed them all to "Owner" on my machines.
But don't sue me if your Windows won't boot. Back up first before playing.

hmmm, im just pissed u noe when i see users who do not noe about the hidden admin account... u see im using the hidden admin account, and my windows is registered under my name, but the username is Administrator, so it kinda looks like unbalanced a bit u noe....the username is Administrator, and the product licensed is under your name which you first logged in the computer...and most people have it the same, for example, licensed under User, and then u see ur account, c:\Users\User....hmmm

yea ive just noticed that, my name is just too many as well in the registry....
