[VISTA] Balloon tips, please help! :(

I've had my laptop for a while now (it is Windows Vista Home Basic, SP2), and recently I've started having an annoying problem with it. For the past week or so, there is no balloon tips appearing for low battery, so it just hibernates with no warning. However, the icon changes... But of course, that's hard to keep an eye on all the time. :S


EDIT: The warning option is enabled in the power settings.
EDIT: My laptop is a Toshiba Satellite L300

Any ideas how I can fix it, please?

Have you tried going to Toshiba.com and using there support or contact links and asking them for help?

I don't have a laptop but I am wondering if you have a bad battery that is not recharging properly and going into hibernation without warning.
How old is your laptop?

There it will take you to TechSpot where they have 3-4 threads to help you with your laptop.
