Installing Updates issue

Stupid thing here. It has the little <!> showing down by the shutdown button on the start menu, saying "Installs updates and shuts down your computer."

I did that.

Then I did it again.

And again.

Three reboots, still wants me to update. I have done the updates. Now what? I read once the trick was to disable the UAC setting. That did nothing.

I get no error message. It boots up normally..then <!> comes back again.

Go to search type windows updates. Update, and you will be good again. You have your settings to not update automatically, you can change that if you wish.

I did that- error 646, FAILED. I think this is where I turn off the UAC. Time to look for a Mac.

They did not install correctly. Use system restore, go back before the updates and try again.

If you report back, I will try my best to help, if this suggestion does not work.

After system restore, set the update, so that you update manually. We will talk more at that point.

If problem is solved, good. If not solved use system resore to remove them. Set update to notify and not install. When you are notified again, set them to hide and not install. This will work.
