rundll32 stopped working

Hello

when i attempt to upload pictures from my camera onto my laptop, it starts then comes up with a message windows host process rundll32 stopped working. It is the first time i have had this problem, i have been able to upload before. Can anyone help? I am running vista home premium

Is it a USB connection? I've noticed with some of these, if you connect to the device first, then the computer, it doesn't work. If you connect to the USB on the computer first, then the device, it will initialize. Some USB external drives are the same way. The device has to be the last connection after connecting to the PC and the power, if any.

If that's not it, don't know what is. Rundll is just a piece of code that loads a dll and runs it like a program. So that doesn't tell you what failed. You have to know which dll it was trying to run.
