what is Secunia PSI Logon Task?

Looking thru the computer for unwanted or unneeded apps I came across under Task Scheduler Summary a task named "Secunia PSI Logon Task" (last run failed, etc), there are multiple instances under it w/no dates. Strange, if no program installed how can it run? Did find it in the library; program is on the computer but not installed, why would it still be attempting to run or check for updates if not installed?
Also "NAP Status UI (last run was stopped at, etc with multiple entries sublisted which is not in the library but google says that it for network admin for Windows 7. Could it also appy to Vista somehow?

Secunia is an app that checks in the background if any of your software apps have updates available.....
Someone at 1 time must have installed it.

You should find it in Add/Remove programs.

That's the thing, it's not in all programs or populated under add/remove programs. There is a folder for it on the HDD but not installed and if not installed then it shouldn't be attempting to update. Saw what it was from google but it didn't clarify enoough to see if it was a neccasary app for windows, that is why I inquired. I guess the best thing to do is just wipe it from the computer.

You can delete it. It is just a tool to let you know if there are any available updates for installed software that you don't have automatic updates available for, or don't like to use your software's automatic update feature. The thought is, this is a good utility because we tend to forget to check manually, until trouble begins.

Sounds like it was installed ...then uninstalled with the folder and scheduler left behind as remnants...
You can safely remove it from Task Scheduler manually and/or use Revo uninstalller to see if that cleans it out.
